Cookie Policy

Last updated: February 15, 2026

This policy explains how PsyberSec uses cookies and similar technologies to recognize you when you visit our website. It explains what these technologies are, why we use them, and your rights to control our use of them.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, provide reporting information, and assist with personalization. Cookies set by the website owner (PsyberSec) are called "first-party cookies." Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are "third-party cookies," which enable features or functionality provided by external services (such as analytics).

How We Use Cookies

PsyberSec uses cookies for several purposes. Some cookies are strictly necessary for technical reasons. Other cookies help us improve your experience by understanding how you use the site. The categories below describe each type and give you control over which non-essential cookies are active.

Cookie Categories

Essential Cookies

Always Active

These cookies are strictly necessary for the website to function. They enable core features like secure login, session management, and cookie consent storage. Essential cookies cannot be disabled because without them the site cannot operate correctly.

Functional Cookies

Functional cookies allow the website to remember choices you make (such as your preferred theme or display settings) to provide a more personalized experience. They do not track browsing activity on other websites.

Marketing Cookies

PsyberSec does not currently use marketing or advertising cookies. If this changes in the future, this policy will be updated and you will be asked for fresh consent before any marketing cookies are set.

How Long Are Your Preferences Stored?

Your cookie preferences are stored for exactly 1 year from the date you set them. After one year, your preferences automatically expire and are deleted from storage. You will see the cookie consent banner again, allowing you to confirm or update your choices. This automatic expiration ensures your preferences remain current and compliant with privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA.

Stored Data: { date, expiryDate (date + 1 year), preferences }

On each page load, we check if your stored preferences have expired. If the expiration date has passed, we automatically delete them from your browser and show the consent banner again. No manual action is required from you.

Do Not Track & Global Privacy Control

PsyberSec honors browser-level privacy signals. If your browser sends a Do Not Track (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we automatically default to essential-only cookies without showing a consent banner. You can still override this by adjusting your preferences using the cookie icon in the bottom-left corner of any page.

Your Rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the right to:

  • Know what cookies are being used and why
  • Withdraw or change your consent at any time
  • Access any personal data collected through cookies
  • Request deletion of data collected through cookies
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (CCPA)

You can exercise your cookie preferences using the controls on this page or the cookie preferences button found in the bottom-left corner of every page. For broader data rights requests, please visit our Privacy Policy or contact us.

Managing Cookies in Your Browser

In addition to the controls we provide, most web browsers allow you to manage cookies through their settings. You can typically find these options in yourbrowser's "Privacy" or "Security" settings. Here are links for common browsers:

Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When significant changes are made, we will request fresh consent from all visitors. Please revisit this policy regularly to stay informed.
